It would be the first person you saw, ask - "Where's the pinata from?" They would probably say, "Mexico" and would probably agree. Although often associated with pinatas Mexican culture, you'd be wrong. Today, piñatas are used as a child playing birthday parties, but it was not always so.

Pinatas were probably the first in China during the 13 th Century uses. It is believed that Marco Polo brought with him in Europe. TheChinese often celebrate the piñatas in the new year, are also used for other celebrations throughout the year. They were often made in the form of, oxen or buffalo cows. Religious meanings behind the pinata were abundant. The Pinata was supposedly represent Satan himself. The priests of the pinata with the statement that Satan the devil as often different masks to hide his identity and draw people to sin. The pinata fillers represented temptation of wealth and worldly pleasures. Pressing the pinata, they were showing that they fought against the temptation of evil. The stick is the virtue. Over time, the association between religion and the pinata was lost. Today it is regarded as a form of child's play, which is often found in children's parties.
